I was the kid who was always doodling.
Sometimes on the desktop.
Filling my notebooks with scribblings.
My first still life hangs in the kitchen of a family member even today, after more than 40 years.
My formal art training focused on technical drawing, with pen and ink on Vellum and Mylar. I won two awards from the American Institute of Architects for my drawings while I was still in High School.
My first real job was in the engineering department of a local power utility, drawing maps and circuit diagrams, along with designing a face plate for an electric meter. Exciting stuff! 🙂
I’ve spent most of the past 35 years making a living in the Information Technology field, working for companies you have heard of, you may even own some of their products. But the work isn’t very fulfilling to me anymore and so I have returned to the thing which consumes most of my free thought, art.
Some of the works I have displayed here are nearly twenty years old and some were painted just last week!
I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoy creating them!
If you’re interested in purchasing some of my original art, that can be done in either of two ways: First, I sell my original pieces online, through Saatchi Art Online. Letting them handle the financial aspects of the business let’s me concentrate on producing more art! Or, you can arrange to visit me in my studio in Raleigh, North Carolina at Litmus Gallery. Fill out the Contact Form here on the site, to arrange for a visit.
If you’d prefer to buy fine art prints, you can visit my shop at Fine Art America. They do a fantastic job and they provide lots of options for framing and image sizing.
In addition, coming soon, you can put my work on a coffee mug, calendar, or t-shirt, at my Zazzle Shop. This is still a work in progress, and will likely be constantly evolving, so visit often.
